Garden Consultations

Listening, observation and analysis are the three cornerstones of our design process. We start each project with an on-site consultation where one of our landscape architects will visit for a walk and talk with you in the garden. We see this as an important opportunity to get to know you and the site. Before this visit, we ask that you do some homework, by gathering some inspiration images and filling out a brief questionnaire that helps to guide our discussion. The aim is to get to know you and understand what type of garden you are hoping to achieve.

Listening

We understand the power of careful listening and want to hear about what your garden means to you and your family – its beauty, quirks and annoying habits, the features you love and the parts you want to change.

Observing

We will spend some time in your garden, taking photos and measurements and observing the existing environment and plants. We’ll also be thinking about how the garden can complement the architectural style and layout of your house.

Analysis

The consultation is then completed back at our office, where we analyse the data and create a tailored design fee proposal for your garden. This contains a visual site assessment and a summary of the suggested priorities for design.  We also provide a fee proposal for a Landscape Concept Plan if you decide that you would like to engage Plantery for design services.

Indicative price range for consultation: $200 – $300
